Race 8 of the ITRL Truck Series saw Matt Cherry take his third win on the season in the first race of the Championship Chase. This win, his third on the season sees Matt Cherry tie Storm Patterson once again for most ITRL Truck Series Wins!
Badger Racing's Matt Cherry wheeled his #84 SimMax/MPI Silverado to the victory leading a race high 69 circuits after qualifying third, this is Cherry's seventh in the Truck Series and his fifteenth in ITRL history! This win gives Matt Cherry a 12 point lead in the Championship Chase in his bid for a first ITRL Truck Series Championship. Badger Racing's Ryan Dingler finished P2 after a hard fought battle with teammate Matt Cherry, Dingler led 18 circuits to go along with a finish of P7 in the stage after starting P14. Shoulder Boys Racing's Brandon Pamatat rounded out the podium in back-to-back weeks, Pamatat again led 8 laps throughout the race and avoided trouble en-route to a good finish after starting P16. Pole sitter Matt "Kevin Hash" Quick led 17 laps early before falling back after contact on a restart following the stage where he finished P5, the teammate fill in wound up finishing P8 at the drop of the checkered flag. Ridge Runner Racing's Landon Polinski got the stage win after starting the race P8 before strategy ultimately ended up causing the driver of the 00 to finish one lap down in P17.
JCOMM Motorsports continues to maintain top spot after scoring another 165 points, while Sippin Shine closed the gap slightly after scoring 179 points on the night. Ridge Runner Racing has moved into the 3rd position, overtaking M&M Motorsports! The Top 5 Drivers in the Championship Chase:
