After 136 starts in the ITRL, Adam Schrom is now a Iron Thunder Racing League winner! With race 5 of the Stay Tuned Sport Podcast Arca Series season underway, Season 2 Arca Champion Josh Ball piloted the #3 Goodwrench Chevy to victory lane at Pocono for his Rebel Racing teammate after Schrom had a death in the family. This is Schrom’s first Arca win even though Ball himself does not have an Arca victory. This isn’t the first time the league has seen a substitute driver win, season 5 of Premier saw Larry Yingling win for BJ Hash at Mid-Ohio and Season 5 of Rush also saw Yingling win for brother Kevin Hash at Charlotte. Rookie Scott Tompkins scored the pole in his first ITRL attempt, rookies Matty Simpson scored a career best 2nd and Hank Castin rounded out the top 3. Points leader and rookie candidate Keegan Sobilo extends his lead to 18 with 3 race left! Rockingham is up next!
