Schweickart Strikes Back in Vegas

Fresh off last weeks Gutter Team Truck Series opener which saw the largest field in ITRL history, the series entered Las Vegas for The Strat 150. 39 trucks took the green flag under the lights in Las Vegas. George Balfanz put his #94 truck on pole. The first stint to the stage break went caution free as George Balfanz was able to keep up his impressive pace by winning the stage. Driver of the #01 truck John Schweickart was the clear dominant truck leading 59/105 laps en route to another ITRL victory and a potential playoff birth by only 0.041 seconds over teammate Will Larue. The action was constant throughout the field as strategy played a major part in the second half of the race before chaos ensued during the final ten laps of regulation. Only three cautions flew on Tuesday night for incident with two coming in the final ten laps sending the field into one overtime. Nineteen trucks finished the race on the lead lap with nine leaders and sixteen lead changes during the 150 mile event. Larue Esports secured the top two spots in the end with M&M taking up positions three and four with strong showings from Storm Patterson and a returning Brandon Pamatat. M&M Motorsports continues to look like the top team in the Truck Series with Larue Esports in a close second. Next week the ITRL Gutter Team Truck Series heads to the music city for 80 laps around Nashville Superspeedway. Will Storm Patterson get back to victory lane? Will John Schweickart go back-to-back? Will another competitor arise and potentially lock themselves into the playoffs? Tune into MaxspeedTV on Tuesday September 20th at 9pm EST to find out.
