Drapeau pulls off a must win to make playoffs!

After a long hiatus from the Iron Thunder Racing League, Eric Gaudreault-Drapeau has returned to victory lane! The Truck Series All Gas TV rookie of the year contender hadn’t raced in the ITRL in almost two years before this season, but he picked up right where he left off. After missing the first two races, Eric Drapeau found himself in a must win situation to make the playoffs. He did just that at the Charlotte Oval, holding off teammate and defending Truck Champion Will Larue who dominated the night leading a race high 46/100 laps. Drapeau punches his post season ticket after starting 25th and leading 9 laps. This is Eric’s first career Gutter Team Truck Series win and eighth overall ITRL win. Branden Kloosterhuis came home 3rd to complete the the all Canadian podium, which is a first for the league. Dave Matson scored his second Haulin Ass Pole Award of the season and 23rd career ITRL pole which is second all time. Matt Cherry won his first stage of the season. Only two races remain before playoffs as the grid is tightening up. We’re back in Charlotte again next week with some roval action! Tune in to MaxspeedTV for all the coverage.
